The Maritime Institute's learning philosophy recognizes that a successful student is
one who balances class work, study and personal relaxation/enjoyment time.
Our resident students can enjoy the quiet relaxed atmosphere of the Institute in their off hours.
Our herbal garden and the surrounding grounds provide a quiet retreat on a sunny
day.

Take a stroll on a nearby beach or visit one of North Sydney's many amenities that are
close by.
North Sydney's downtown shopping core and a local mall, as well as restaurants,
entertainment, the boardwalk, a gym and the local library are within walking distance of
the Institute. Bus service is available to Sydney, where a larger selection of shops,
theaters, restaurants and entertainment venues are available.
