The Maritime Institute provides a residence facility for out of town students. Our in-house residence provides a limited number of nicely decorated, furnished units with adjacent full shower/washroom and laundry facilities. A TV room and large common room/library with fireplace are also available for student use.
The Institute, which overlooks Sydney Harbor, is a center for Holistic Health and Ecology. The bedrooms are spacious with large cupboards, dressers, desks, etc. Students have use of kitchen facilities, a laundry room and sitting room. Efforts are made to recycle and reduce waste. Cleaning products are environmentally friendly. Students will be given the opportunity to learn healthy ways of eating and ecologically friendly ways of living.
Single private rooms are $375.00 per month. Students must pay one half of the first months rent as a damage deposit and provide the business offices post dated cheques upon arrival for the duration of their stay in residence.
